Cross Contour

Cross-contour lines are imaginary lines that can be used to help show the surface of an object, similar to a topographic map. Artists use cross contour lines to show form, depth, and volume.

This skill is a foundation for shading. Cross Contour is a key skill that bridges contour line drawing and shading/value.
